What is my type such as a D, I, S, or C from the personal profile system? The result after conducting the test in class was that I was an I "Influence" and a high in C "Conscientiousness". I think that the results were pretty much correct overall. The description of a influence person is that one like to contacting people, viewing people and situations optimistically, and participating in a group, etc. I am probably this kind of person, but I do not think that entertaining people part because I do not have a skill to entertain people. Even though I tried to make people fun, they said that I made them feel chilly.
And as for a I type person; I do work participating in a group, which is my part in Korean, but I hardly participate, and do not like in a group in English. Some friends said that I am good English, but I know that they encouraged me. Whenever I have to join a group, I usually save my words at work or in school becuase I do not want to speak in English not correctly when I speak it. I am very serious about it and hope that the outcome will be good. I really like things to be accurate so that I know what to do and how to do it.
I like my type I, but I sometimes want to be D "Dominance" type in me. To take authority, managing trouble and solving trouble.

The Exhange Rate of the Korean Currency Against the U.S. Dollar
The U.S. has an economic crash in these days. I heard that Citi group had lay off around 50,000 employees. This is really serious situation now. In Korea, my country also has a problem like here. A lot of Korean said this is more serious than IMF, which had probably around 9 years ago. Therefore, the exchange rate of the Korean currency around 1,500 won against the dollar. I am really worried about it because I am an international student as a F1 visa, so I have to receive money assistance from my parents, Korea. However, now, I can not request money from them becuase the exchange rate much higher than this September, around 950 won. This time is not good receiving money from Korea, so I should increase part time job working days to save tuition.
Since I came to New York from Korea, I have been always worried about Korea such as economic situation, goverment situation and my family situation. Actualy, I was not a patriot, but I am getting a patriot. I often think that Korean government has to change and has to have a strong economic power more than other countries. Then, the exchange rate is probably getting down. It is only my personal opinion, but I believe that many F1 visa students think like me. I hope to revocer of Korean economy and down the exchange rate soon.

My Visions Will Come True...
When I saw the video, its concept was pretty interesting, and I could get point what was an important for my life, how to turn my aspirations into my goal. It called VISION.
Since I came to New York from my country, Korea, I have been getting to forget why I decided to be here. Actually, I wanted to change my life and to accomplish my goal because I have job experienced 12 years as an editorial designer and an advertising designer in magazines and news papers after graduated in Art College, Korea. These careers made me get boring and falling in mannerism even though I felt that I was a pretty successful designer in my field. One day, I realized that I needed some FRESH AIR, time to change my field; that’s why I came here and I tried to study different fields as a baby. Some of my friends asked me that “Why did you dump your good careers”, “Why do you want to be a baby into the new world even though you are not young?”, “Why, Why?” They actually did not understand me, but I can say them “Why?” I believe that I have some visions, and although I might not have a whole plan mapped out to accomplish every single one of them, I think that they are realistic and little by little I feel a step closer to reach them.
My first vision is that I should get more and add more knowledge for my next level career besides design stuffs. I want to run own my 'Total Communication Art Company' in Korea after going back there. For it, I am studying now management, marketing, communication, photography and new computer design skills. Those are probably perfect match with base on my previous careers.
My second vision is that having a photo exhibition with my father in Korea. I am pretty interested in photography, so I am studying photography as a minor now. While I concerntrate shooting photoes, I can forget any stresses. After graduated in Baruch, I will continue to study it. Actually, my father is an amateur photograper, but he has been several photo exhibitions about nature and landscape for a few years. I really like his concepts of photos. If possible, I want to travel all over the world to get good or emotional pictures with him. And then I want to have a father and daughter's photo exhibition.
My third vision is that being able to help poor children who no hope of having a decent life ever again. I want to promote education, and provide better technology. I provide them insight of life to believe by themselves becoming an important person. I want to share with them what I have all.
For me, “Past is Past, Present is Gift, Future is Hope”. Therefore, I do not think my past because I have my own present to make my hope in the future. And all that I will do action for my visions to come true. Remembering that if we take action, visions will may come true, but without action these will just be an dream.

How to Enhance Exam Scores?
Oh my goodness. On Monday, I realized that professor Kurpis was really generous to his students. After we got back our first test score, most of the class mates became monsters. I was too almost killed by myself. I had never gotten that kind of score before. Especially, I could not believe strange situation because I got nothing on the essay part. It was really really sucks for me. “How I did not get it even 1 point? Was my essay really terrible?” Suddenly, I was questioned of myself that “should I drop this class?” However, professor gave some advice and time limit to us to make good decision for enhancement our first exam and future exams.
As soon as professor gave time limit for making it, people could not handle or control by themselves. The class room was like a public market which was so noisy and yelling each other. I could not control too by myself because I did not want to appear any essay question in the future tests. I imagined that if I could write down answer the essay question Korean, I would believe to get a good score, but I knew that it was not possible. I would want the professor to have no multiple, multiple answers, no essay questions and no short questions, but drop one lowest score, curve the tests, extra point and open book test or take home final. However, few minutes later, I gave up Collaborating with them because no matter what I did that my score was still bad and it made me depress. I was just Avoiding and waiting for their decision.
Before one person handled the chaos, anybody did not make any decision. It was really difficult to agree 100%. We had only few minutes to decide to our good purpose. I thought that it was very difficult to reach a satisfactory Compromise for everyone. But, I agreed with them because if I did not allow many class mates decisions, I felt that they were going to blame me. For me, I thought that it was like ‘Opportunity Cost’; I had to give up to get something.
Finally, they decided some result. I satisfied what the result came out that drop one lowest test, curve and extra credit. I hope I will get much better than the first exam.

From the Weak Egg to the Strong Egg!
Wow! The egg project was probably tough when I was asked by professor Kurpis to drop the egg from ten feet high without breaking. Was it possible to save the egg? Each group got an egg, 8 straws, 2 feet tape and a scissor from the professor. We had a time limit to making an object. However, during the planning process, I think that I earned a lot from it. It was so much fun and made the bond of our team cooperation.
Our group, six people, started step 1: to think the goal of the egg project about not only how to keep it from breaking but also how to protect the egg covering with less the tapes. We had to keep an eye on the time limit for planning.
Each person was decided what they would do for step 2: an idea person to give a brilliant idea, a designer to draw the idea to make understand our member, an architect to develop the idea, a leader to explain it, and taper to pate up the right spot. We did our best to make it with only some of resources which were eight straws, an egg, and two feet tapes. During sharing our ideas, one of our members had a similar experience before, so we determined on the idea, but we could not know how to build it. We started to draw the idea. The designer drew a final cut to understand us.
We almost skiped for step 3 because we were confident of success from the idea, which looked like triangular pyramid; six straws, three for the bases and other three for the heights connected together to the end parts of them. The rest of two straws which cut into half, four, held up the egg in the center. Even though it seemed to be effective to save the egg, we were a little bit of nervous becuase we were going to drop it from ten feet high.
We decided each role for step 4: each person did their roles that two of members tried to cut two straws quickly, two made more tapes to cut harf of tape's width, one drew perfectly the idea, one was a leader, and all together pasted up straws to the right places of the structure. We together shared our best when we built the egg triangle pyramid; that’s why those were very effective to finish the project before the time due. We tried to follow what the professor said that more than fifty percent of the egg had to show. When we finished it, our leader tried to drop the final structure in our place. It was fine. Therefore, I was really sure to success.
In the step 5: when the leader, who was a tall guy, dropped our egg structure from the over ten feet, it hit the corner of the basket once and then entered into the basket. However, luckily, it was not broken even any crack. The triangle cover protected the egg completely.
Finally, our egg was survived. I can say that our team did the best to achieve success. The successful result said that our planning and management harmonized and were effective completely. However, I think that it was not the matter what they got, a successful result or a unsuccessful result. I believe that all groups tried to do their best. I realized that how to follow or progress in a group activity, and how to develop to a good idea from a poor idea. The project was really fun, and it excited us. I think that it made us one.

My problem is...
I think that I am a good listener and a good adviser. However, currently my management problem is that I sometimes make a mess-up my daily schedule because of talking with my friends or family on the phone. I think that I talk too much time to them on the cell phone. I do not know why? Actually, when I was in Korea, I often called my friends and my co-workers, but not too long on the phone line. I just talked to them only for important one. I could manage my talk time and my schedule. However, since I came here, I have been getting to talk and advice too much. If one of my friends called me because of some problems, I advised her or him until it would be solve, or even if I will get a big exam on the next day early morning, I answered the friends' call and talked with them at least 1 or 2 hours. Actually, I should to do not response it, and I should to ignore it becuase I had to study for the exam. I often feel that I spend a lot of times for talking on the phone, but it is not easy for me to stop. What should I do? Do I have to close my cell phone account?
